Young people continue to flock to the profession in spite of shrinking staffs and public distrust, says UO professor Héctor Tobar.

UO journalism professor finds low engagement on distant problems, but says the columnist's approach is promising.

Tobar has been featured in stories nationwide as his popular book on the ordeal goes into paperback and a movie is set for release in November.

Former Dean Arnold Ismach and Oregonian editorial writer Rick Attig are among the hall's 2015 inductees.
